Foundations of Emotional Intelligence
Course Outline
We tend to think of others as emotional or intelligent, but not both. Emotional intelligence is being intelligent about your emotions. People with emotional intelligence recognize and understand their own emotions and those of others. They manage their emotions and the emotions of others in appropriate ways. Organizations are now beginning to train staff in this skill to improve relationships, produce better leaders and encourage collaboration.
In this workshop participants have the opportunity to assess their strengths and weaknesses in the four pillars of Emotional Intelligence while learning new methods to enrich their personal and business relationships in an interactive learning environment. This workshop will also provide participants with the opportunity to begin an action plan to strengthen their skills in Emotional Intelligence.
The method of presentation used in the Emotional Intelligence Workshop is an “Experiential Learning Model”. Both individual and group work is applied. Full participation is encouraged

Course Objectives: At the end of the course, participants will be able to:
- Explain the benefits of increasing emotional intelligence
- List the components of the Emotional Intelligence Model
- Understand their personal EQ Strengths and Weaknesses
- Name three key element of emotion and how they impact behavior
- Create an action plan for personal growth.
